Electric Indonesia | At the Listrik Indonesia 2024 awards ceremony, PT PLN Batubara Niaga achieved prestigious recognition with the title of "The Most Innovative Primary Energy Supplier" in the "Energy Supply Chain Company" category. The award was presented by the Director General of Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE), Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Prof. Dr. Eng. Eniya Listiani Dewi, to Kanapi Subur Dwiyanto, CEO of PT PLN Batubara Niaga.

This award acknowledges PT PLN Batubara Niaga's outstanding performance in providing innovative and efficient energy supply. The editorial team and expert panel of Electric Indonesia Magazine conducted a rigorous evaluation before granting the award, highlighting the company's positive contributions in meeting energy needs for power generation and exceeding revenue targets in PLN Group's Beyond kWh business.

One innovative step that drew attention was their introduction of a new product, Coal Blending. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of domestic coal absorption, known as Domestic Market Obligation (DMO).

Kanapi Subur Dwiyanto, CEO of PT PLN Batubara Niaga, stated, "We believe that coal remains a reliable and economical energy source. Therefore, we continue to innovate to ensure that our coal supply meets the domestic market's needs, both for power generation and non-electrical purposes."

Furthermore, Kanapi explained that managing coal blending has yielded positive results by creating coal products tailored to the needs of power plants. These customized coal products have received quality recognition from several plants and have satisfied customers.
